Want To See Marc de Reuver Ride The 2012 MXoN Track

There are less than ten days until the most exciting motocross event of the year - the Motocross of Nations. Featuring two 2012 champions (Jeffrey Herlings and Antonio Cairoli) getting a chance to go head-to-head, plus a line-up of racers that containing the best MX riders in the world, which team will emerge victorious is anyones guess.

Team USA might have walked away with the win for the last seven years but the level of competition means there are no safe bets. We cant wait...

Oh and note - the track is actually still being worked on, so de Reuver is only actually practising half of the track here. We hope the other half has got some of the jumps in!

Edgar Torronteras And The Incredible Whip

Weve seen some whips in our time. But this is potentially the Whip To End All Whips.

At the recent Supercross Bercy show in Paris, Spaniard Edgar Torrenteras pulled off a whip so awesome he almost when upside-down. Shame that the commentators were far too busy talking among themselves to acknowledge such and incredible freestyle feat...

FSX Head To The Fox Racing Europe HQ

A few weeks ago, we went to Fox Racings European HQ. Wed love to say that it was in a super secret location but a simple Internet search reveals its actually in Tyne and Wear, UK.

Although the purpose of our journey up there wasnt the most exciting, the Headquarters itself were filled with impressive mementos from Fox Racings lengthy history in the world of motocross.

Take a look a our gallery of snaps and play a little game of spot the famous jersey...

Unit release The Art of Progress

For the last nine years Unit has been tearing-up the riding scene with BMX triple backflips and all manner of insane stunts. We were the first company to bring Unit to Europe and its been incredible to see the team explode in such a short space of time.

Well now the team has stepped up its mission to mix art and riding with the release of Art of Progress, a short film that is part-history lesson, part-manifesto.

Featuring a voiceover from comedian Bill Hicks and highlights of the teams craziest moments, the video sets out their vision of becoming free of limitations, censorship or corporate boardrooms.

Its a big statement to make but, coming from Unit, its not one to ignore.

After youve watched the video why not check out Units new spring line, which has just dropped here.

Twice The Cam Sinclair Story

If ever you needed a reminder of how dangerous FMX can be, Twice: The Cam Sinclair Story will serve as quite a brutal reminder.

After his horrendous accident at X Fighters Madrid 2009 while trying to perform a Double Backflip, Australian Motocross rider Cam Sinclair was left in a coma for a week and had to learn how to walk again. Twice, which is available now to watch on iTunes, follows his route to recovery and his triumphant return to the X Games in 2010.

Its not a movie that is likely to be all sunshine and lollipops but it will give you great insight into the determination and drive behind a man determined to get back into the game...

Inspired by Cam? Then check out his awesome Sincs Footwear from Globe on FreestyleXtreme!

Life In The Foust Lane Triple Bill

Tanner Foust has still got one of the best jobs in the business, if not, the world. However, unlike many, many other people you simply cannot begrudge him his lifestyle - this guy knows and loves his cars. Having an engineering background means he isnt just a good driver. He can tell you exactly why and what the car is doing at any given time.

Were a few episode behind, so heres a triple bill for you, featuring Auto Shows, Drifting, Global Rallycross, European Rallycross, the Octane Academy and more.

Speaking of GRC, interesting to hear that Foust is yet another driver that has his concerns about how the whole series has been put together. Even if he does put it quite diplomatically...

I still think this is one of the best automotive series on youtube at the moment. If you didnt know much about Tanner before watching these, youll have a new found respect (and envy) by the end of these vids.

Like the look of Tanners Etnies/Rockstar gear? You can buy all his colab wear at FreestyleXtreme.

Best Moments From The 2012 Motocross World Championship

Through various reasons, this years Supercross and AMA 450 Motocross Championships may not have offers the level of excitement and unpredictability that they promised at the start but the same cannot be said for the 2012 FIM Motocross World Championships.

Take a look at some of the best moments in this highlight video and remember the good times, the muddy times and glimpse a few Monster Girls for good measure too...

Jeremy Twitch Stenberg On The Block

Nobody can say that Twitch doesnt give plenty of love to his fans. In addition to all his work with underprivileged youngsters, he also knows how to put together a pretty sweet edit to show us how he spends some of his days.

This 10 minute vid is packed with action and features the likes of Lance Coury, Josh Hansen, Justin Ayres, Brian McGnarls and more whippin, flippin and scrapin. Check it out

Plus, it also features the happiest looking dirtbike we think weve ever seen:

GoPro Ken Block At The 2013 Oregon Trail Rally

Woah. The Oregon Trail Rally is pretty balls-out, huh? Bro, did he even lift his foot off the accelerator the whole time?

This all-GoPro edit show Ken Block hooning his way around rally stage at quite eye-watering speeds. Check out this footage from his test run.

Also, we were wondering... does KBs co-pilot shout out his own name when they cross the stage finish? Just seems that yelling "GELSOMINO!" at they fly past the line seems appropriate. No? Just us then...

UK Arenacross At the London O2 Arena

Last weekend the O2 Arena in London was home to the first ever round of the UK Arenacross series. Taking the best elements of outdoor racing and squeezing them into a purpose-built arena track, Arenacross offers a condensed spectacle that is great for audiences to enjoy.

As a new event, the 2013 series is just a four date tour (later heading to Belfast, Birmingham and Liverpool) but we hope the combination of MX racing and Freestyle Motocross gets the popularity and attention that it deserves for future shows!

Take a look at the video above to see what happened on the day. Dont forget to head over to the official Arenacross site to pick up tickets for the forthcoming shows.

FMX And Drifting At The Qatar Motorshow

Is it always party time in these Arab states? It certainly seems like they know how to have a good time. Of course, it helps that the Qatar Motorshow was in town, bringing along Red Bull and their talented collection of Freestyle and Rally athletes.

In particular, the rather lovely Burcu Cetinkaya - a female rally driver from Turkey who we might have fallen in love with a little bit. So, as a bonus, check out this video below of Burcu in action behind the wheel.

Freestyling 50s In the Czech Republic

Do you need an expensive dirt bike with trick suspension and a powerful engine before you can get involved with FMX? This collection of crazy freestyle dude in the Czech Republic can catch serious air and pull some impressive tricks in the seat of some titchy 50cc dirt bikes. Take a look!

Brian Deegan A Day In The Life

We know that Metal Mulisha bossman Brian Deegan, aka The General, is a freestyle OG. And, being such a pioneer in the world of action sports comes with its own unique rewards.

But now we know that, unless our numbers come up, we are unlikely to ever have a track in our front yard that we can use specifically to test our off road truck. A truck built in our own on-site workshop by a team of our own dedicated mechanics. Well, Deegan does. And he can then play around in them, after hes finished fooling about on his motocross bike or practising some freestyle with his FMX buddies.

Man, what a life. We hope that Hayden Deegan picks up some of his daddys skills to make him proud, else hes gonna grow up one spoiled little dude...

Jackson Strong At The 2013 Winter X Games

Aspen in Colorado was once again home for the Winter X Games and the place of battle for the world’s best snowboard, ski and snowmobile athletes. Although the well-documented talents of five-peat champion Shaun White are always worth checking out, the 2013 X Games was of particular interest to us because of the participation of Metal Mulisha rider Jackson ‘Jacko’ Strong. With two X Games gold medal for Best FMX Trick in the Summer Games, Jacko thought he would see if his freestyle skills would translate to the Snowmobile Best Trick competition at Aspen.

If the X-Games presenters were to be believed, the Aussie rider had a grand total of four hours on the seat of a Snowmobile and had only ever even SEEN snow twice before. How’s that for ballsy? Even despite the inexperience, with a winter equivalent of the Body Varial that won him gold at Los Angeles, Jacko’s run had all the makings of becoming X Games history.

Clearly feeling nervous on the day, Strong’s runs were sadly not to become the stuff of legend. Although tantalisingly close, both runs came up short. A mis-timed grab on his first run led to a bad fall that saw his Snowmobile needing to be recovered from the car park (yep, really) while an over-rotation on his second run flung him over the handlebars. Daring stuff, but still only enough to get him 6th at Aspen. If we don’t see him trying something similar next year we will be very surprised…

2012 Red Bull Rampage The Finals

Ive come to the conclusion after watching a bunch of downhill videos that these MTB guys are even bigger maniacs than FMX riders. Although Ive been told that the Rampage course is actually more carefully created than first appearances might suggest, it still seems like freestyle with less padding, less planning and far more faith in nature and the strength of your own legs. Let me know some of your thoughts!

Anyway, this highlight video has been taken from the finals of this years Red Bull Rampage, which was eventually won by Canadian Kurt Sorge with a ballsy run full of daring tricks. Check it out!
