Jeremy Twitch Stenberg Riding At Nates

Apart from his medal-winning performance at this years X-Games, since his accident in 2011, Twitch hasnt spent much time riding as perhaps some of his fans would like. Still, this video shows that he hasnt let any of his skills go rusty and can still pull effortless backflips and whips out of the bag, just like he could for 420% All Natural.

Filmed at Nate Adams compound, this practise sessions also features Ronnie Faisst and Derek Garland alongside Nate and Twitch. Make sure you watch until the end!

Oh, and while youre at it - take a look at FreestyleXtremes latest range of Twitch clothing from Famous Stars and Straps too!

    Dirt Shark At Anaheim 1

Round 2 of the Monster Energy Supercross at Phoenix may be tomorrow but there is still time to get one last fix from Anaheim. And what better way than with this awesome video from Dirt Shark.

These guys get the sort of access to the riders than most of us could only dream of and a rapport with the Monster Energy Girls that few can match.

If you didnt get the chance to go to see the opening race in person, this is going to give you a taste of the atmosphere and buzz before a race than none of the more corporate videos can seem to get close to capturing.

Did we mention Monster Girls? Pretty sure we mentioned the Monster Girls.

    Dirt Shark At Dallas

As we now have come to demand, here is the weekly video from the dudes at Dirt Shark - this time getting in on the action at the Dallas Supercross.

We know you had to make do without your FreestyleXtreme race review (how do you cope without it?) but, in amongst the bouncy Monster Energy Girls and delicious Dirt Sharklets, is everything you need to know anyway: Villopoto romped home first, Millsaps and Dungey finished 2nd and 3rd, with Chad Reed hanging onto 4th as the aforementioned stormed passed him.

Another less-than-perfect weekend for James Stewart and yet more ammunition for those that think being a JS7 fan is a tough gig. Despite another strong performance in practise and qualifying, poor Bubba suffered a busted clutch on his Suzuki moments before the race started...

Ryan Dungey Wins Round 5 Of 2013 Supercross At Anaheim III

    Photo: Speed TV
People have been comparing this years Supercross to the 2012 F1 season and its easy to see why: after five rounds there have been four different riders standing at the top spot of the podium. Back-to-back wins from Ryan Villopoto had us fearing the start of another RV whitewash Anheim III saw Ryan Dungey emerge as the winner.

Dungey had an appalling time in the qualifying heat races, but the main event looked like a walk in the park. Even with Justin Brayton picking up the Holeshot and Mike Alessi leading the first lap, Dungey had established a place out front by lap 2, made easier thanks to Alessi falling on a corner sortly after he was overtaken. It was a lead that he carried through to the checkered flag without much in the way of a threat from the riders behind him.

While Dungey will be pleased with his solid performance, Chad Reed seems to be continuing his run of back luck, thanks to another multi-rider accident on the third corner of the first lap that took both Brayton and Ryan Villopoto out of contention. Reed managed to salvage 16 points by the end of the race but Villopoto had to settle with an 8th place.

Fans of James Stewart finally had something to cheer about with his best performance of the championship so far, who was riding in 2nd place until lap 13 when he had to give up places to a determined Davi Millsaps (who keeps the red plate and now boasts a 14 point lead) and Justin Barcia who snatched a place back on the podium after a couple of races sat out thanks to accidents.

Were just under a third of the way through the 2013 championship and we still dont think anyone could confidently pick who will be champion. Roll on San Diego!

Vaughn Gittin Jr Ken Block At The Gymkhana Grid Finals

While the first ever European tour of Ken Blocks Gymkhana Grid event might have been full of visual action, details of what went down at the final round at the Santa Pod Flame and Thunder show in the UK at the start of November hasnt proved quite so easy!

So, heres what we managed to find out. All of the following drivers qualified to take part in the final against Ken Block and US drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr:

    Round 1 Winners (FRANCE)
Franck Lagalice - RWD (BMW M5)
Fabrice Morel - AWD (Evo 8)

    Round 2 Winners (UK)
Luke Woodham - RWD (Nissan 200SX
Dmitry Sribnyj - AWD (Subaru Impreza WRX)

    Round 3 Winners (GERMANY)
Remmo Niezen - RWD (BMW E30)
RJ Price - AWD (Subaru Impreza WRX)

    Round 4 Winners (HOLLAND)
Lars Verbraeken - RWD (BMW E30)
Timo van der Marel - RWD (Nissan 350Z)

    OVERALL WINNERS
    Remmo Niezen - 1st
    RJ Price - 2nd
    Luke Woodham - 3rd

Still, who cares when there was so much tyre smoking action!

Rumour James Stewart Injured ACL At Anaheim

This might sound like another bad Bubba injury joke but is there more the James Stewarts knee tweak at Anaheim than he is letting on?

Although this is entirely speculation at the moment, if the guys from the PulpMX podcast are to be believed (listen around the 19 minute mark) , Stewart hurt his knee prior to the opening race and he aggravated an existing injury at some point during qualifying.

Although Stewart makes little reference to an injury in the video above (apart from a suspicious "hope to see you at Phoenix") and we didnt see him have any sort of accident in the race footage, the fact that he has still admitted to hurting he knee has led many to jump to the conclusion that it might actually be a damaged ligament - perhaps even a torn ACL. If thats the case, then thats pretty much game over for JS7 for the remainder of the 2013 season.

Of course, without any X-rays or scans - no one but Stewart, his team and his doctor are going to know the truth at this stage. But the fact that all his social media channels have gone quiet rather than deny the rumours isnt the most positive of signs.

We really hope that this isnt the case because, love him or loathe him, everybody wants to see what James Stewart does next. If we get any official updates, well add them to this post to keep you guys in the loop.

    UPDATE  9th January:

    Stewart tweets this:

Lets hope that he means on the back of a bike rather than on crutches...

GoPro Ken Block At The 2013 Oregon Trail Rally

Woah. The Oregon Trail Rally is pretty balls-out, huh? Bro, did he even lift his foot off the accelerator the whole time?

This all-GoPro edit show Ken Block hooning his way around rally stage at quite eye-watering speeds. Check out this footage from his test run.

Also, we were wondering... does KBs co-pilot shout out his own name when they cross the stage finish? Just seems that yelling "GELSOMINO!" at they fly past the line seems appropriate. No? Just us then...

UK Arenacross At the London O2 Arena

Last weekend the O2 Arena in London was home to the first ever round of the UK Arenacross series. Taking the best elements of outdoor racing and squeezing them into a purpose-built arena track, Arenacross offers a condensed spectacle that is great for audiences to enjoy.

As a new event, the 2013 series is just a four date tour (later heading to Belfast, Birmingham and Liverpool) but we hope the combination of MX racing and Freestyle Motocross gets the popularity and attention that it deserves for future shows!

Take a look at the video above to see what happened on the day. Dont forget to head over to the official Arenacross site to pick up tickets for the forthcoming shows.

FMX And Drifting At The Qatar Motorshow

Is it always party time in these Arab states? It certainly seems like they know how to have a good time. Of course, it helps that the Qatar Motorshow was in town, bringing along Red Bull and their talented collection of Freestyle and Rally athletes.

In particular, the rather lovely Burcu Cetinkaya - a female rally driver from Turkey who we might have fallen in love with a little bit. So, as a bonus, check out this video below of Burcu in action behind the wheel.

World Superbike Star Chaz Davies Talks About His Double Win At Aragon

Last weekend was a momentous moment for Welsh World SBK rider (and FreestyleXtreme sponsored athlete) Chaz Davies. After just his second race for the factory BMW GoldBet Motorrad Team, he managed a double race win at the Motorland Aragon circuit in Spain. Chaz takes a few moments out to talk to us...

Hi Chaz. What a weekend! Your first victory with BMW, fastest lap record and a double podium! How does it feel?

It feels pretty darn good to be honest! It was a great weekend from start to finish but to cap it off with a double win is something special and quite unexpected. I knew on Saturday that we had the pace to fight at the front and thankfully on Sunday everything clicked into place and my BMW was working great.

Aragon has now been the location for several great achievements in your racing career. Surely it must be your favourite circuit now?

I really like Aragon but we go to a lot of great circuits so I don’t really have a favourite. In terms of results it’s always been kind to me so it’s definitely up there in the top 3!

The rest of the BMW GoldBet Motorrad team must be thrilled. How did you celebrate?

It was all pretty calm. I went back for seconds on the podium champagne and shared it amongst my crew and then just had some good food in the team hospitality that evening followed by a 3 hour drive to Barcelona airport. Pretty rock n roll, huh!?

What sort of reaction have you got from your fans?

My Facebook page and twitter has been flat out with compliments. I appreciate all the feedback and I’m glad that I could provide the entertainment on Sunday afternoon!

We know that is still early in the season, but your performance at Aragon has propelled you into second place in the championship. You’re in contention for the title now…

To be honest I’m not thinking about the championship at this stage. I said at the start of the season that top 5 is the goal and I’ll stand by that. There’s a long way to go and WSBK can always throw up surprises so for now I’ll just keep my head down and worry about the points at a later date.

Having achieved so much you set out to do so quickly, what new targets have you set yourself for the rest of the year?

I love to win races so that’s a big enough target for the mean time. I just want to keep up the hard work and establish myself at the front of WSBK races every weekend.

How are you going to approach the next race at Assen?

Just like any other, head down! I’m really enjoying working with all my crew and directly with BMW so I can’t wait to get back in that environment and try to repeat the Aragon performance.

Jackson Strong At The 2013 Winter X Games

Aspen in Colorado was once again home for the Winter X Games and the place of battle for the world’s best snowboard, ski and snowmobile athletes. Although the well-documented talents of five-peat champion Shaun White are always worth checking out, the 2013 X Games was of particular interest to us because of the participation of Metal Mulisha rider Jackson ‘Jacko’ Strong. With two X Games gold medal for Best FMX Trick in the Summer Games, Jacko thought he would see if his freestyle skills would translate to the Snowmobile Best Trick competition at Aspen.

If the X-Games presenters were to be believed, the Aussie rider had a grand total of four hours on the seat of a Snowmobile and had only ever even SEEN snow twice before. How’s that for ballsy? Even despite the inexperience, with a winter equivalent of the Body Varial that won him gold at Los Angeles, Jacko’s run had all the makings of becoming X Games history.

Clearly feeling nervous on the day, Strong’s runs were sadly not to become the stuff of legend. Although tantalisingly close, both runs came up short. A mis-timed grab on his first run led to a bad fall that saw his Snowmobile needing to be recovered from the car park (yep, really) while an over-rotation on his second run flung him over the handlebars. Daring stuff, but still only enough to get him 6th at Aspen. If we don’t see him trying something similar next year we will be very surprised…

Dirt Shark At Phoenix Supercross 2013

It was only recently that we praised the Dirt Shark videos for keeping it real and giving viewers an authentic insight into the atmosphere during a Supercross weekend. This video from Phoenix, however, sorta blows. Well, at least a third of it does. So, skip about two and a half minutes past the lame robbing a grocery store to steal some Monster skit and get straight to the Supercross action.

Then you can witness Windhams (even more awesome than normal) pre-race transfer jump, catch some behind-the-scenes chat with the riders, as well as some words from the winners Tomac and Barcia. Plus, of course, a bit of girl ogling too. Much better.

So, stop trying so hard to be cool, Dirt Shark. We already liked you.

    Dirt Shark At Daytona

When Dirt Shark videos are bad they suck balls. When they are good - theyre fricking awesome. This particular episode, from last weeks Supercross race at Daytona, falls into the latter. Great interviews, some quality time with the Monster Energy girls, plenty of race footage and a section with a little kid who has clearly been hitting the Mountain Dew HARD.

    Excellent work, Sharks and Sharklets!
